🤠 At Thrive Tutoring we have always been proud of our holistic approach to education. We have always seen kids as whole persons and grades as secondary issues. We learned early on that it was easy to boost grades in the short-term, allowing students to use tutoring like a crutch. However, once the tutor was gone—the leg usually wasn’t healed and there wasn’t lasting change. But if we focused on building confidence the grades would follow and the growth would last. Attitude and Behavioral Profile
We know from client feedback and testimonials that we consistently provide this type of holistic support. However, we have always wanted to offer clients, tutors, and students some concrete ways to measure it! And after a few years of exploring and testing different tools that have been developed we have formed a partnership with our friends at IRIS.
🌱 IRIS (Interpersonal Readiness and Improvement Suite) is a behavioral intelligence platform. This tool uses a simple 15-minute Student Survey to measure more than 100 behaviors and mindsets. It offers a research-backed and time tested approach to map the qualitative parts of learning and development. We are now ready to start integrating these surveys and the custom coaching input for all high school students and beyond.
